1. Introduction

SnapdocX ("we", "our", or "the app") is an Android application developed for advanced document and image processing using on-device AI and native C++ engines. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use SnapdocX.

By using SnapdocX, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

SnapdocX is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We do NOT collect:

• Personal Information: No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or accounts.
• Files & Documents: Your PDFs, images, scanned documents, and text files are never uploaded to any server.
• Location Data: We do not access or track your location.
• Contacts or Call Logs: We do not access your contacts, SMS, or call history.
• Browsing Data: We do not track your browsing activity.
• Biometric Data: Fingerprint and face authentication is handled entirely by Android's system APIs. We never see or store your biometric data.

3. On-Device Processing

All processing in SnapdocX occurs entirely on your device:

• AI Features: Text erasing, background removal, image upscaling, OCR text recognition, and face detection all run using on-device AI models. No cloud API calls are made.
• PDF Operations: Creating, merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and rearranging PDFs happens locally.
• Image Processing: Compression, conversion, editing, and format changes are performed on-device.
• Document Scanning: Edge detection, perspective correction, AI blank page detection, and enhancement use local algorithms.
• Native Performance: Our custom C++ NDK engine (FastPdfEngine) processes all PDF operations locally at high speed without any network access.
• Automation: File organization, batch processing, and smart rules execute entirely on your phone.

4. Encrypted Vault

SnapdocX includes an AES-encrypted vault feature. Files stored in the vault are encrypted on disk using your PIN. We do not have access to your vault PIN or the contents of your vault. If you forget your PIN, the encrypted data cannot be recovered.

5. Permissions We Request

SnapdocX requests only the permissions necessary for its features:

• Camera: For document scanning and ID card scanning.
• Storage/Media: To read and save your files, images, and documents.
• Biometric: For app lock and vault authentication (fingerprint/face).
• Notifications: To show progress for background processing tasks.
• Foreground Service: For background batch processing and automation tasks.

All permissions are optional and requested only when you use the specific feature that requires them.

6. Third-Party Services

SnapdocX may include the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: We may display ads through Google AdMob. Google's advertising SDK may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Services: Required for app distribution and updates.

We do not share any of your documents, images, or file contents with these services.

7. Data Retention

Since we do not collect your data, there is nothing to retain. All files you create or process remain on your device under your control. The built-in Recycle Bin feature allows configurable retention (7–90 days) for deleted files, after which they are permanently removed from your device.

8. Children's Privacy

SnapdocX does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app is a utility tool that does not require account creation or personal data submission.

9. Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• AES encryption for vault storage
• Biometric authentication support
• Screenshot and screen recording protection
• No network transmission of your files
• All processing runs in sandboxed Android environment

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
